Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
GridFree operates an online directory connecting homeowners with licensed generator and home-battery installers. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Quote requests: your name, phone, email, address/ZIP, project type, timeline, and any message.
- Consent records: the exact consent text you agreed to, plus timestamp, IP address, and browser, retained as proof of consent.
- Usage data: standard log and analytics data (pages viewed, device, approximate location).
How we use and share it
When you submit a quote request, you authorize us to share your contact details with a limited number of licensed installers matched to your request, so they can contact you about backup power installation. We may also use your information to operate, improve, and secure the service. We do not sell your information for unrelated advertising.
Communications & opt-out
By submitting a request you consent to be contacted by phone, SMS, and email, including via automated technology, as described at the point of consent. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or contact us to be removed.
Your California rights
California residents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information, and may opt out of certain sharing, under the CCPA/CPRA. Contact us to make a request.
Data retention & security
We retain quote and consent records as needed to operate the service and to document consent. We use reasonable safeguards but no system is perfectly secure.
